CHAPTER 2

2 Industrial Training Process

First three weeks were spent for gathering initial details of company to get an idea the overall process of the organization.

2.1 Order Placement in Marketing Department

Next week were spent in marketing division to get an idea of the order placement. This process was done due to the retail shops requirement through company agent. These information were gathered via three sub offices and, all gathered information were re-arranged by supply chain department. Finally all analysed details were sent to head office. After completion of this final submission order is sent to mother company's procurement team by requesting some details to balance re-order level for better distribution without gap.

2.2 Stores Area

All imported bulk of fertilizer and other goods were stored before issuing good received note (G.R.N). After G.R.N process some of specimen was arranged for testing process to measure their working behavior with suitable physical and chemical testing. After, accepted bulks were re-arranged to make retail packs just like fertilizer. In the packing process of company, they used their brand name and registered trademark based boxes to contain each retail products. In stores practice process, following details were detected.

Table 1: Different Types of Fertilizer

In this practical process, different types of  gardening agriculture products were identified with moving them.

2.3 Procedure of the Distribution Department

After completion process of stores, all items were turned to distribution storage area. First function of this was labeling prices given by marketing department. Next manufacturing date and expiry date were labeled on each production boxes. Specially it was done on the fertilizer boxes. In this department, some products were arranged order-wise as bulk and retail by considering order date and last delivery date.

2.4 Process of  the Quality assurance Department

Before packing products, 10% of sample specimen were checked to identify required quality ranges. But in distribution department process also some of the re-quality process and, it was done by unboxing selected products. This step was not compulsory, but in that time it was done to verify the required quality of the consumer again with standard quality parameters.

2.5 Practices in Technical Department

Under the technical team, each machine repairing process was done due to systematic service planing. Because each area should have minimum failure to get better productivity. CHAPTER 3

3.1 Findings

Although XYZ organization has a good marketing, stores, distributing and technical procedure, it has some faults. The main thing is there are incorrect habits of employees in workplace. It means the most of employees are not using personal protective wears and cloths in mechanical and chemical processing in their working sections. Other finding point was related to marketing. In local selling process there were not acceptable marketing to increase sales volume and profitability.

3.2 Recommendations

It is need to encourage each employee to keep good health by wearing chemical protective gloves and other wears. In packing with noisy machines,  it is essential to wear ear protecting equipment. And also in some of the lab processes, it is need to cover nose area using activated carbon based masks or any other recommended face masks to prevent from some chemicals, or toxic gases. Finally I hope to suggest a new idea to get more profit. And it is internet publicity of locally distributed retail products. Because some conventional farmers and people are motivated to get novel agriculture tools and products due to correct advertising, paid promotions, publicity, sales promotions, etc.
