How to cultivate butterfly pea flower in your home garden

Today I hope to describe how to grow the butterfly pea herbal flower in your own garden. Specially we need to know basic behavior of the butterfly pea plants and flowering techniques to obtain more and more harvest.

Now we look how to get new little plants of butterfly pea plants. First of all you need to get matured seeds from plant. That removed seeds should have optimum dried in plant. After it is good to kept them in water bath at least one hour to get quick growing results.

Within two weeks you can see little growth of seeds in soil area. In this time you can do watering twice in a day. And in this moment do not put fertilizer or other chemical into little plant area. Because it may harmful to little leaf of plants.

After two weeks later you can add organic fertilizer for better growth. Dried cow dung is the best solution to grow butterfly pea plants. So you can add at least 2 gram for one plant to get better growth of the plant. You can continuously do it by keeping one week gap until meet sixth week.

Six weeks later, you can you can see small flowers are on butterfly pea plants complex. Now you have a question plants have been growth but small flower amount only. Don't worry because you can launch little procedure to get more blooms.

If your plants are growth highly, it is difficult to get and spread sunlight at each place. Hence, you can pruning unwanted and highly growth area and put potassium based fertilizer around the root area by giving at least two centimetres around the root and stem area. You can repeat it in week by week. Amount of potassium may subject to change by it's absorbency but commonly it may takes 2 grams for one plant. But if you want to get more blooms and flowers, you can apply liquid fertilizer for each leaf area.

Now you have a question what are they ?.  Most high absorbency and high spray liquid fertilizer are categorized by considering their potassium percentages against total weight of the fertilizer mix. Above Figure 6 shows K-44 fertilizer and it contains 44% of potassium in dry weight of particular fertilizer. I think now you know how to grow butterfly pea flower plants correctly.
